                  "Happy Halloween"

                         By Makiyah Heard

Scary monsters and creatures pop up in our dreams

Halloween costumes, candy, and other things float in our heads

from nice to naughty

Kids are happy and jolly

The day is gone and night is falling

Parents worry because their kids are still awake from candy

The day is officially gone the night has officially started.

Look its a ghost so don’t be scared

It’s also a vampire coming so be prepared

Which one is worse I can’t compare

So you might as well stay and face your fears

The ghost will haunt you with all its might

The vampire will bite you till you lose all sight

They weren’t always here so this can’t be right

Oh I forgot  its Halloween night

 "Halloween Poem"

Hello, witches. Hello, ghosts.

Hello, pumpkins on the posts.

Hello, goblins and black cats.

Hello, skeleton. Hello, bats.

Hello, owls and hello, moon.

Halloween is coming soon!

Red and yellow

Orange and black

On the 31st  we have pumpkin pie

We start to dress up

Because Halloween is arriving.

Knock, knock, knock, house to house

The fun has started

Kids are running around with happy smiles

Wearing bright, shiny crowns

Girls dressed like a princess wearing a crown and gown

Spending time with many kids, friends and family

Everyone is asking for candy and playing  at the door saying trick or treat

with neat costumes.

I am rocking famous wings

As all expect a treat

And this is what Halloween means to me
