Education through growth and culture

As the students worked to adjust to in-person learning, they were met with many challenges.  The biggest challenges were: managing class times, full in-person schedules, and adjusting to being around people. Students had to adjust to seeing old friends and making new friends.  The pandemic forced students to be by themself and work independently.  Students also realized there were moments they could not get back that was stolen by the pandemic part of their high school journey.   Some students missed being able to work extra afterschool job hours.

Although students were able to learn virtually, improve technical skills and acquire new knowledge

it just was not the same.  While many succeeded several became easily distracted or yearned to hear a teacher's voice in person and not through Zoom.  Others loved having classes on Zoom and dreaded the return to in-person learning because they no longer controlled their time, or physical space.  The students learned how to multitask and work collaboratively.   The Terriers were resilient in both virtual and hybrid learning.

The Terrier News is a great space for student

and faculty ideas or pictures of Terrier events.

The ideas are generally the heartbeat of what students are thinking, talking about, or doing during their Terrier Journey.  Join the Terrier Journey as the students continue making

Newark Tech one of the top schools in New Jersey.
