What do you like about the game?

“I like the encouragement all of us have during the game. I enjoy watching us work together to score a goal. I also enjoy seeing everyone happy when we make goals. Each one of us is different, and we play in different ways.”

How long have you been playing? Have you been playing since ninth grade or before?

“I have been playing since this year, even though I regret it because I wish I had joined sooner. Soccer is passionate for many people, including me.”

What is your position, if you have one?

“My position is mostly attacking, which is sometimes right winger or striker.”

What hardships or challenges did you face during your time playing soccer?

“A hardship I faced was when I did things wrong.  I would think about it and be negative, which is not okay. Confidence is an essential part of soccer.”

How many games do you usually play in one season? How many games have you played/won?

“I have played all the games in soccer, and we have been winning five games straight. We have only lost four games.”

Do you want to keep playing in college?

“I would love to keep playing in college.”

Advice for someone who is a novice athlete?

“My advice is to join earlier; even if you are indecisive, go for it. I would also say that you should be dedicated and know that you are a big part of the team.”

Tips for advice for other athletes on how to get better?

“Practice can make a difference for everybody. Never miss practice because it is critical for soccer.”
